Mildred is asked to babysit Tristram. The middle class Fourmiles are going out to see Tom Stoppard's play Jumpers. Mildred enjoys babysitting, so she and George try to adopt a child themselves. They are rejected, so George buys a female Yorkshire terrier, whom Mildred names Truffles. Ahh how cute.
