Richard is offered early retirement and ponders a future spending all day every day with Hyacinth. Emmet is enraged when Hyacinth ends up rehearsing a performance for the old people at the Church Hall with him and a tranquilised Rose arrives at the scene wanting to become a nun. Guest starring Jeremy Gittins as the vicar, Marion Barron as the vicar's wife and Nigel Williams as Mr Penworthy.
