Maddie hears from her father that she must return to Scotland and marry a man called Ecky because she has not yet found herself a husband. When Maddie's father arrives various men are passed off as his daughter's intended. He sees through the charade but says she can stay as Ecky doesn't want to marry her after all. Simon and Samantha have their first disagreement over the family holiday.
