Gary and Dorothy's relationship is in trouble, and to try to impress her, he invites her to the opera. It would appear that Dorothy and Graham have been spending time together playing chess. Gary believes her, but Dermot believes that they are really fooling around. As talk of chess continues, Gary and Dermot end up deciding to play chess to decide who will win the tickets to the opera. If Dermont wins, he plans on taking Debra to the opera. If Gary wins, he plans on taking Dorothy.
