Sledge Hammer S01E05 Dori Day Afternoon

Not the best Al Pacino impersonation ever, but this is still a fun episode. Remember when comedy shows knew that a joke requires a set-up and punchline, not just topical references from out of nowhere? A satirical cop show with writers of fantastic pedigree and a Danny Elfman theme song was a perfect fit for mid-80s television. What could go wrong? Oh... right. It was on ABC, reedited & nerfed down to a G rating by cowardly executives, and put up against Dallas and Miami Vice.
