Lisa Whelchel "The Racer’s Edge” episode of The Love Boat (1985)

Lisa guest starred on a two-part Germany/French Riviera cruise episode “The Villa / The Racer's Edge / Love or Money / The Accident.” Lisa was in the “The Racer’s Edge” portion of the episode. ** NOTE ** The first 3 minutes of this video are rough (poor quality). It greatly improves after that. Kelly (Lisa Whelchel) and Scott Barrett (Jack Coleman) are a couple who get married in Germany and take the Love Boat’s cruise to the South of France. Scott is a retired bicycle racer. Coach Charlie (Harry Morgan) unexpectedly joins the newlywed’s cruise to convince Scott to enter one last bike race, the Le Tour De La Cote D’Azur. If Scott wins the race, Charlie will be able to keep his job. Scott decides to enter the race despite his new bride’s disappointment. Filmed in France, West Germany and Italy. Other guest stars: Susan Blakely, Jack Coleman, Mel Ferrer, sisters Audrey and Judy Landers, Harry Morgan, Ken Olandt, Alexis Smith and Craig Stevens. Originally aired November 2, 1985.
