Mike and Angelo S8E1 (1996) - FULL EPISODE

Night of the Zombie. Or, the banned episode of Mike and Angelo (sort of). Katy's back with a bang from Hollywood, and is not impressed to find that Mike has developed a penchant for staying up late watching horror films. But how can she wean him off this unhealthy obsession? She and Angelo come up with a fiendish plan - but is everything really as it seems? This spooky episode was first broadcast on Thursday, 4th January, 1996, and if you didn't watch it that day, there's a chance you've never seen it at all. By all accounts, a scheduled repeat was pulled due to a complaint about the apparent scariness, and I'm not certain it ever saw the light of day again - until now. Another way in which this one is a bit of a rarity in that only the three core cast members - Mike, Angelo and Katy - appear, without any guest stars whatsoever. Obviously it's the opening episode of a new series, and I like the way it re-establishes the characters, while also subtly demonstrating that Mike is that little bit older compared to when we last saw him. I love the absolute mess the house is always in whenever the boys are left to their own devices. The Scrabble scene also made me laugh, and the in-the-cupboard shenanigans (trying not to spoil anything) were staged very well in a deadpan kind of way.
